Last weekend I visited Long Beach Island for conducting my Art Workshop at L.B.I. Art Foundation. it was a wonderful experience from the the word "GO". I stayed at Beach Haven. Such a pretty beach town.
On my arrival at the foundation I was met with this bubbly group of 50 kids. All of them looked so excited......My guess is that they were more excited to play with colors then meeting me....
As I mentioned in my previous post that I wanted these kids to have some fun while creating their art pieces so I chose to work with Masking Tape Resist Technique along with fluid water colors. The prospect of using colors freely, without brush, really excited the children.
It is a very simple but cool technique to create interesting background as well as complete painting. once I showed the kids how to go about it, they got on the job immediately. And in one hour, there were 50 pieces of wonderful art ready, to admire and kids were very happy to see their own created art pieces.
I really enjoyed the experience. More because of the wonderful staff at Foundation.
Last but not the least, my heartfelt thanks to Philip and Dayna...without their efforts, this all would not have been possible.
